WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – It’s the final day of the 2013 Azalea Festival and thousands are hitting downtown to enjoy the street fair.

The 2013 Azalea Festival Street Fair was so large that it took up all of Water, Front, and Market Streets in the heart of downtown Wilmington.

This year the Street Fair hosted more than 200 arts and crafts vendors, 40 food vendors, and 4 stages and a special little kid’s play area.

Families who attended this year could get their faces painted and make crafts and of course eat fair staples like corn dogs and funnel cakes.

One vendor took time out of his busy day to break down street fair must haves.

“If you’re coming in and have $10, I have an $8 turkey leg that’s the signature product,” said Azalea Festival food vendor Greg Seamster. “It’s just that moist, juicy, tender grade-A dollar item. On the sweet side a $4 candy bar is hard to beat.”
